After a morning departure from Milan we traveled across northern Italy towards Venice.
We broke our journey in Verona for an extended visit including a short walking tour of the city center. We saw the city’s most important or famous sights, including the Roman arena & even Juliette’s balcony. Later there was time for a relaxed lunch before we continued our journey.
Upon arrival at the edge of Venice's lagoon we transferred to our historic hotel on the Lido di Venezia by private water shuttle, cruising along the Guidecca canal & past San Marco on the way - a great way to arrive in this amazing city!
After checking-in for a three-night stay we enjoy a superb group dinner in the Excelsior's Blue Room. A great end to another great day.
