We joined our expert local guide Giacomo again to see the iconic sights of the Sforze fortress, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II (with the birthplace of Campari), the legendary La Scala, & the Duomo, where we toured both the exterior & interior.
This afternoon was free for everyone to spend as they chose - enjoying a leisurely lunch, browsing the fashion stores, visiting historic churches, etc.
This evening we regrouped to enjoy our first opera, a performance of Tamerlano at La Scala, featuring the great Placido Domingo! What a spectacular!
