This morning was devoted to getting to know Venice - perhaps the most romantic city in the world - & some of it’s most famous sights & activities.
Our morning tour with another expert local guide, Rosana, explored the narrow streets & expansive squares & familiarized us with the city’s history. Along the way we saw St. Mark’s Square, the Grand Canal, the Rialto Bridge & more.
After our tour we watched a skilled glassmaker in a display of traditional Venetian glass-blowing before taking a break for a leisurely lunch before we rendezvoused for a matinee performance of Madame Butterfly at La Fenice.
Wow! Another great performance.
Following our experience at La Fenice the evening was free for everyone to explore or enjoy dinner in the heart of Venice before returning to our hotel at your leisure. Many of the group gathered in the Blue Bar for a fun evening of socializing.
